September RAMS Meeting Minutes

September 9, 2023

Call to Order at 1 pm by President Greg LieVan atThe Home of the Clark Family.

There were 13 RAMS, and 4 motorcycles present for the Meeting.

1. We have no new members for this month.
2. We have 58 new and returning members for 2023.
3. We had no guests this month:

New Business

1. No new business for this month.

 

RAMS Activity Discussion

1. The currently scheduled RAMS Events for 2023 are:

BMW Riders Association National Rally, September 14 - 17, 2023, at Canaan Resort and Conference Center, Davis, WV.

RAMS Fall Campout, September/October, Pickwick, TN. Last Weekend in September, September 29 - October 1,  2023. Campsite 48 for Coffee, Campsite 47 for medical needs folks, and three primitive campsites for tent camping by the river. Basically, the same as last year.

Barber Vintage Festival, October 6-8, 2023, at Leeds, AL.

Eclipse Viewing Ride, October 13-14, 2023  Spend the night in Allen, TX on October 13, then get up and ride to Eldorado, TX on October 14 to view the Total Eclipse after which you ride back to Memphis on October 14 for a SS 1000 Special Certification.  See Robert Rehkopf email for full information.  Open to all riders.

Nothing from the VP this month.

 

Old Business.

1. If anyone still does not have their picture in the online directory, please see Spencer or Rosey.
2. If you would like a RAMS Patch (old Logo only), decal (old and new Logos) or need RAMS business cards, please see Spencer.

 

For the Good of the Club

1. Check RAMS Website for other Club’s Rally Schedules. Please follow up on each event’s web site as some may be rescheduled or cancelled.
2. 2024 Dues are $25.00 and are due on January 1, 2024. They may be paid either by Cash or Check to the Secretary/Treasurer or via PayPal or Credit Card on the RAMS Website.

 

3. We need Meeting Hosts and Locations for next year.

October – Will be on Sunday, October 1, 2023 at the RAMS Campout.  Meeting at 0900 at RAMS Campout Central (Site 48)

November - Paul Rhodes is the Host, Location; Drifter’s Diner, 76 Arsenal Lane, Lavinia, TN

December - Haavi Morreim at her home.

 

4. The October RAMS Meeting will be held on October 1, 2023. Location is:

The RAMS Fall Campout

Site 48 of the Below the Dam Campground at Pickwick Lake, TN.

Meeting time is 0900 and coffee will be provided.

Note: This meeting is the opening of nominations for 2024 RAMS Officers so please make it if you can.

 

5. If you have an item you would like to see on the next meeting agenda, please get it to the Secretary by the Wednesday prior to the meeting and it will be added to the next meeting agenda. This is not required for an item to be discussed, but it will make sure it gets in the mix. Send the information to: officers@bmwrams.com

3. Expenses this month:

Dreamhost Web Hosting Fees = $6.00

Hostgator for website = $58.88

Donuts at the Dealer = $66.92 (Two months worth as the treasurer missed a month.)

Ocean WP + Jotform = $429.00 For Website Maintenance & Operation
