October RAMS Meeting Minutes

October 15, 2022

Call to Order at 1:00 pm by President Greg LieVan at Central BBQ on Summer Ave. in Memphis, TN.

There were 15 RAMS, and 2 motorcycles present for the Meeting.

1. We have 2 new members for this month.

Robert"Bird Dog" Whitten who lives in Iron City, Tn and rides assorted BMW's including a really nice /5.

Marshall Keaton who also lives in Iron City, Tn and rides an R1200 RT.

1. We have 66 new and returning members for 2022.

New Business

1. The nomination of the 2023 RAMS Officer's was opened and the following nominations made:

President: Greg LieVan (nominated by Spencer Bennett, seconded by Butch Turner)

Vice-President : Paul Whitworth (nominated by Marshall Robilio, seconded by Greg LieVan)

Secretary/Treasurer: Spencer Bennett (nominated by Butch Turner. seconded by Paul Whitworth)

There being no further nominations at this time, the nominations were closed until the November Meeting where additional nominations may be made, as well as at the December and January Meetings.  The election of 2023 Officers will take place at the January 14, 2023 Meeting.

 RAMS Campout Update

1. The Pickwick Campout worked out well and there was discussion about having the next campout at Land Between the Lakes State Park as they have a lodge close to the camping area.  This will be discussed more at the November Meeting.

 

VP Corner

1. VP had no new information this month as he was  riding in an event at Tellico Plains, TN.

 

Old Business.

1. If anyone still does not have their picture in the online directory, please see Spencer or Rosey.
2. If you would like a RAMS Patch (old Logo only), decal (old and new Logos) or need RAMS business cards, please get with Spencer.

For the Good of the Club

1. Check RAMS Website for other Club’s Rally Schedules.  Please follow up on each event’s web site as some may be rescheduled or cancelled.
2. Butch Turner announced that the Arkansas Naturally Beemers club dedicated their Fall Campout to the memory of Steve Hamilton, who was also an active member of that club.
3. 2023 Dues are $25.00 and are due on January 1, 2023. They may be paid either by Cash or Check to the Secretary/Treasurer or via PayPal or Credit Card on the RAMS Website.
4. We need Meeting host/Location for 2023 Meetings:

76 LaVinia Gate Rd

LaVinia, TN

Host is Paul Rhodes.

Lunch at 1200, Meeting at 1 pm.

6. If you have an item you would like to see on the next meeting agenda, please get it to the Secretary by the Wednesday prior to the meeting and it will be added to the next meeting agenda. This is not required for an item to be discussed, but it will make sure it gets in the mix.  Send the information to: officers@bmwrams.com
