June RAMS Meeting Minutes

June 15, 2024

Call to Order at 1:00 pm by Vice - President Herb Anderson at the RAMS Campsite, MOA National Rally, Redmond, OR

 

10 RAMS and 6 Bikes present. Thanks to Sam Whitworth for taking the minutes at the meeting as your Secretary/Treasurer was unable to attend due to the Sidecar Rally.

1. We have 1 new member for this month who was recruited at the Rally.

Ian Fergusson who lives in Picayune, MS and rides a K1600 GT.

2. We have 54 new and  returning members for 2024.

New Business

 

1. RAMS Campout at Pickwick in the Fall.  The sites have been reserved at the "Below the Dam Campground" for October 4 & 5, 2024.  We have full service sites 48 & 47  and primitive sites 98, 99, and 100.  Coffee pot will be on Site 48.

Barber Vintage Festival

October 11-13, 2024

Leeds, AL.

If you have not been to this event in the past, Herb Anderson recommends that you make it a point to watch the Sidecar Races on Frida and Saturday.  One of the few places you can see this sport in our area.

VP Corner

The July RAMS Meeting will be at Herb & Reno Andesrson's home in Puryear, TN.  Herb will likely lead a ride over to Paris Landing State Park to check out the Camping for possible future RAMS Campout destination.

 

Old Business.

1. Paul has found a home for the coffee pot  with the Four Winds BMW Club in Pittsburgh, PA!  Apparently advertising something for sale in an operational condition works as a sales tool.  Who knew?  If anyone has some room and is heading for Lebanon, TN or Pittsburgh, PA and would be willing to haul it, please let Paul or any RAMS Officer know.
2. Performance Plus does not have any information on the RAMS in their shop.  Reno Anderson has volunteered to create a flyer to place there.
3. If anyone still does not have their picture in the online directory, please see Spencer or Rosey.
4. If you would like a RAMS Patch (old Logo only), decal (old and new Logos) or need RAMS business cards, please see Spencer.

 

For the Good of the Club

1. Check RAMS Website for other Club’s Rally Schedules. Please follow up on each event’s web site as some may be rescheduled or cancelled.
2. 2024 Dues are $25.00 and were due on January 1, 2024.  They may be paid either by Cash or Check to the Secretary/Treasurer or via PayPal or Credit Card on the RAMS Website.

4. The June RAMS Meeting will be held on July 13, 2024.  Location is:

They have plenty of tent camping space if you wish to stay over as well as a fire pit.  Lunch will be furnished (likely Chili) but additional side dishes and desserts are always welcome.  Lunch will be at 1200 and the meeting will be at 1 pm.

 

4. If you have an item you would like to see on the next meeting agenda, please get it to the Secretary by the Wednesday prior to the meeting and it will be added to the next meeting agenda. This is not required for an item to be discussed, but it will make sure it gets in the mix. Send the information to: officers@bmwrams.com
