June RAMS Meeting Minutes

June 10, 2023

Call to Order at 1 pm by Vice-President Paul Whitwirth at RAMS Rally Central, MOA National Rally, Richmond, Va.

There were 9 RAMS, and 6 motorcycle present for the Meeting.

1. We have no new members for this month.
2. We have 59 returning members for 2023.
3. We had no guests this month:

New Business

1. A motion was made and seconded to move the RAMS Contact Address in the MOA from it's current location in Mississippi to Tennessee so as to clearly show that the RAMS are a Memphis based organization.  The Contact Address for each Chartered Club is usually the address of the Officer or member who does most of the reporting and other correspondence with the MOA.  In this case, the Secretary/Treasurer lives in Mississippi so it appears that the RAMS are a Mississippi Club.  Steve Clark volunteered his address for the RAMS use and and the membership voted unanimously for the Secretary/Treasurer to make this change to the Club Lisiting.
2. A discussion was held about sending the Meeting Minutes to all members via email so more of them would know waht was going on.  After some discussion, it was moved and approved for the Secretary/Treasurer to send the Meeting Minutes to all members each month.

 RAMS Activity Discussion

1. The currently scheduled RAMS Events for 2023 are:

BMW Riders Association National Rally, September 14 - 17, 2023, Davis, WV.

RAMS Fall Campout, September/October, Pickwick, TN. Last Weekend in September, September 29-30, 2023.

Barber Vintage Festival, October 6-8, 2023.

 

 

VP Corner

1. Paul will be on a long trip this summer so we need ride coordinators for June and July.  Anyone wishing to organi=ze a ride should put out an email with the meet up location and time to the RAMS List so everyone will be aware of it.

 

Old Business.

1. If anyone still does not have their picture in the online directory, please see Spencer or Rosey.
2. If you would like a RAMS Patch (old Logo only), decal (old and new Logos) or need RAMS business cards, please get with Spencer.

For the Good of the Club

1. Check RAMS Website for other Club’s Rally Schedules.  Please follow up on each event’s web site as some may be rescheduled or cancelled.
2. 2023 Dues are $25.00 and were due on January 1, 2023. They may be paid either by Cash or Check to the Secretary/Treasurer or via PayPal or Credit Card on the RAMS Website.
3. We still need Meeting Host/Location for July & October 2023 Meetings:

July - Open

August - My Favorite Place Mexican Restaurant : Manchester Family Hosting

September - Steve & Donna Clark at their home.

October - Open

November - Paul Rhodes Hosting, Location TBA

December - Haavi Morreim at her home.

5. The July RAMS Meeting will be held on July 8, 2023.  Location is: T B D

 

6. If you have an item you would like to see on the next meeting agenda, please get it to the Secretary by the Wednesday prior to the meeting and it will be added to the next meeting agenda. This is not required for an item to be discussed, but it will make sure it gets in the mix.  Send the information to: officers@bmwrams.com
