January RAMS Meeting Minutes

January 14, 2023

Call to Order at 1:15pm by President Greg LieVan at Exlines Pizza in Bartlett, TN.

There were 20 RAMS, and 3 motorcycles present for the Meeting.

We have no new members for this month.

We have 37 returning members for 2023.

We had no guests this month:

New Business

The nomination of the 2023 RAMS Officer's was re- opened and no further nominations were made. Current nominations are:

President: Greg LieVan (nominated by Spencer Bennett, seconded by Butch Turner)

Vice-President : Paul Whitworth (nominated by Marshall Robilio, seconded by Greg LieVan)

Secretary/Treasurer: Spencer Bennett (nominated by Butch Turner. seconded by Paul Whitworth)

There being no further nominations at this time, the nominations were closed. John McWhorter made a motion to elect the nominated slate by acclimation. This was seconded by Steve Clark. Vote to do so was unanimous.

RAMS Activity Discussion

The Doo-Dah will be the season opener and we will plan from there.

The currently scheduled RAMS Events for 2023 are:

Tech Session at Rose-Anne & Spencer Bennett's Home, March 11, 2023.

Ride to Eat at Boyette's in Tiptonville, TN, April 1, 2023.

Doo-Dah Rally and Tax Revolt, April 14-15, 2023 at Village Creek State Park near Wynne, AR.

Wilderness Rally, May 12 - 14, 2023 on the Buffalo River, AR.

BMW MOA National Rally, June 8 - 10, Richmond, VA.

BMW Riders Association National Rally, September 14 - 17, 2023, Davis, WV>

RAMS Fall Campout, September/October, Pickwick, TN.

VP Corner

New VP, Paul Whitworth, spoke about plans for getting the club members to ride more as a group in 2023.

Old Business.

If anyone still does not have their picture in the online directory, please see Spencer or Rosey.

If you would like a RAMS Patch (old Logo only), decal (old and new Logos) or need RAMS business cards, please get with Spencer.

For the Good of the Club

Check RAMS Website for other Club’s Rally Schedules. Please follow up on each event’s web site as some may be rescheduled or cancelled.

2023 Dues are $25.00 and are due on January 1, 2023. They may be paid either by Cash or Check to the Secretary/Treasurer or via PayPal or Credit Card on the RAMS Website.

The RAMS Tech Session planned for March 11, 2023 will be at the Bennett's Home in Hernando, MS. The address is : 1780 Green Village Drive, Hernando, MS 38632. Please use the rear driveway that goes directly to the Hangar if you are planning on doing maintenance. There will be a motorcycle parked near it as it is somewhat overgrown and difficult to see from the road. This will be an opportunity to get your bike ready for the coming season and tap into some of the expertise of assorted RAMS Members. There will be two lifts and the usual tools. Please bring your own fluids and parts you anticipate using along with any special tools your bike may require. This will be in conjunction with the March Meeting and Lunch will be provided as will soft drinks.

6. If you have an item you would like to see on the next meeting agenda, please get it to the Secretary by the Wednesday prior to the meeting and it will be added to the next meeting agenda. This is not required for an item to be discussed, but it will make sure it gets in the mix. Send the information to: officers@bmwrams.com
