April RAMS Meeting Minutes

April 15, 2023

Call to Order at 1:00 pm by President Greg LieVan at Campsites 10 & 11, Village Creek State Park, AR

There were 18 RAMS, and 8 motorcycles present for the Meeting.

1. We have no new members for this month.
2. We have 54 returning members for 2023.
3. We had three guests this month: Dan & Jeb Bridges and Mary Clark's Friend Emily.
4. Thanks to Meeting Hosts: Spencer & Rose-Anne Bennett

New Business

1. BMW MOA National Rally. June 8-10, 2023 in Richmond, VA.  Chartered Club Camping Spot has been reserved for 12 tents, with a 20 X 20 Shelter Tent, 2 tables, and 12 chairs.
2. Donuts at the Dealer April 29, 2023.  Paul Whitworth will be Donut Czar.

 RAMS Activity Discussion

1. The currently scheduled RAMS Events for 2023 are:

Wilderness Rally, May 12 - 14, 2023 on the Buffalo River, AR.  See Paul Whitworth for directions and details.

BMW MOA National Rally, June 8 - 10, Richmond, VA. Please note that this will be the June Meeting Location.  Time will remain at 1 pm with eat what you bring lunch at 1200.

United Sidecar Association Nationalo Rally, June 22 - 25, 2023 at Gulf Point State Park, Milford, IA.

BMW Riders Association National Rally, September 14 - 17, 2023, Davis, WV>

RAMS Fall Campout, September/October, Pickwick, TN.  Rodger Moring and Bryan Leonard are looking at possible alternate sites for the Fall Campout, possibly at the Land Between the Lakes or Paris Landing State Park.

 

 

VP Corner

1. The VP, Paul Whitworth will be Hosting the Wilderness Rally on May 14 and will not be able to lead a ride to the meeting.  Anyone who would like to fill in for him should let him know.
2. Paul will also be on a long trip this summer so we need ride coordinators for June and July as well.

 

Old Business.

1. If anyone still does not have their picture in the online directory, please see Spencer or Rosey.
2. If you would like a RAMS Patch (old Logo only), decal (old and new Logos) or need RAMS business cards, please get with Spencer.

For the Good of the Club

1. Check RAMS Website for other Club’s Rally Schedules.  Please follow up on each event’s web site as some may be rescheduled or cancelled.
2. 2023 Dues are $25.00 and were due on January 1, 2023. They may be paid either by Cash or Check to the Secretary/Treasurer or via PayPal or Credit Card on the RAMS Website.
3. We still need Meeting host/Location for July & October 2023 Meetings:

May - Birender Madan : Please bring a chair if you can.

June - Meeting will be held at the MOA National Rally, Richmond, VA on Saturday, June 10, 2023.

July - Open

August - My Favorite Place Mexican Restaurant :Manchester Family Hosting

September - Steve & Donna Clark at their home.

October - Open

November - Paul Rhodes Hosting, Location TBA

December - Haavi Morreim at her home.

5. The May RAMS Meeting will be held on  May 14, 2023.  Location is:

Lunch will begin at 12 pm with a meeting to follow at 1 pm. Please call Bir or Mary to see what you can bring. Also bring a chair if you can.

6. If you have an item you would like to see on the next meeting agenda, please get it to the Secretary by the Wednesday prior to the meeting and it will be added to the next meeting agenda. This is not required for an item to be discussed, but it will make sure it gets in the mix.  Send the information to: officers@bmwrams.com
