March RAMS Meeting Minutes

March 9, 2023

Call to Order at 1:00 pm by President Greg LieVan at Friday Tuna Restaurant in Cordova, TN.

16 RAMS and 7 Bikes present.

1. We have no new members for this month.
2. We have 48 returning members for 2024.
3. We had two guests this month:  Tim Anderson, Herb's brother from Alberta was down for a visit and Jackie Manchester came with Art IV.

New Business

1. The 2024 MOA National Rally will be in Redmond, OR on June 13-15, 2024.  There will be a Shelter Tent for tr the RAMS in the Chartered Club Camping area.  This is being handled by the MOA so it should go smoothly.
2. RAMS Campout at Pickwick in the Fall.   Once the campground opens up in mid-March Spencer will handle the reservation for the RAMS Sites.  It was decided that the RAMS would rent the same sites as last year with three primitive and two full service sites.
3. Spencer has the "Bike Purchase Free Membership Forms" and needs to get them to Performance Plus.

IBA 2024 Eclipse Ride April 8, 2024

The website is:   https://www.timeanddate.com/eclipse/map/2024-april-8  and shows the path and timing data.

The plan would be to leave Memphis on Monday morning and arrive at a location 500 miles or so away in time to see the eclipse, then return home. Robert Rehkopf has information on this.

The VP will be attending the "Horizons Unlimited" Off Road Travel Campout in Virginia tha last weekend in April, 2024.

1. The Trailer situation is still open.  Paul Whitworth has been looking at options.
2. If anyone still does not have their picture in the online directory, please see Spencer or Rosey.
3. If you would like a RAMS Patch (old Logo only), decal (old and new Logos) or need RAMS business cards, please see Spencer.

 

For the Good of the Club

1. Check RAMS Website for other Club’s Rally Schedules. Please follow up on each event’s web site as some may be rescheduled or cancelled.
2. 2024 Dues are $25.00 and were due on January 1, 2024.  They may be paid either by Cash or Check to the Secretary/Treasurer or via PayPal or Credit Card on the RAMS Website.
3. We need Meeting Hosts and Locations for next year.
