March 18, 2023

Call to Order at 1:00 pm by President Greg LieVan at the Home of Spencer & Rose-Anne Bennett. Hernando, MS.

There were 7 RAMS, and 1 motorcycle present for the Meeting.

We have no new members for this month.

We have 52 returning members for 2023.

We had one guest this month: Tim Jones, who renewed his membership after the meeting.

New Business

BMW MOA National Rally. June 8-10, 2023 in Richmond, VA. Chartered Club Camping Spot has been reserved for 12 tents, with a 20 X 20 Shelter Tent, 2 tables, and 12 chairs.

RAMS Activity Discussion

The Doo-Dah iSidecar Rally & Tax Revolt, April 14-16 at Village Creek Sytate Park, south of Wynne, AR. will be the season opener and we will plan from there.

The currently scheduled RAMS Events for 2023 are:

Ride to Eat at Boyette's in Tiptonville, TN, April 1, 2023.

Doo-Dah Rally and Tax Revolt, April 14-15, 2023 at Village Creek State Park near Wynne, AR. Will be located on Campsites 10 & 11.

Wilderness Rally, May 12 - 14, 2023 on the Buffalo River, AR. See Paul Whitworth for directions and details.

BMW MOA National Rally, June 8 - 10, Richmond, VA. Please note that this will be the June Meeting Location. Time will remain at 1 pm with eat what you bring lunch at 1200.

United Sidecar Association Nationalo Rally, June 22 - 25, 2023 at Gulf Point State Park, Milford, IA.

BMW Riders Association National Rally, September 14 - 17, 2023, Davis, WV>

RAMS Fall Campout, September/October, Pickwick, TN. Rodger Moring and Bryan Leonard are looking at possible alternate sites for the Fall Campout, possibly at the Land Between the Lakes or Paris Landing State Park.

VP Corner

The VP, Paul Whitworth, will be leading a ride to the Ride to Eat in Tiptonville on April 1, 2023.

Old Business.

If anyone still does not have their picture in the online directory, please see Spencer or Rosey.

If you would like a RAMS Patch (old Logo only), decal (old and new Logos) or need RAMS business cards, please get with Spencer.

For the Good of the Club

Check RAMS Website for other Club’s Rally Schedules. Please follow up on each event’s web site as some may be rescheduled or cancelled.

2023 Dues are $25.00 and were due on January 1, 2023. They may be paid either by Cash or Check to the Secretary/Treasurer or via PayPal or Credit Card on the RAMS Website.

For the GS Guys, and others who may be interested: March Moto Madness will be taking place at Tellico Plains, TN. March 29 - April 2, 2023. This is a Premier Event with Primitive Camping on site and hotels nearby in Tellico Plains. See March Moto Madness web site for details.

We still need Meeting host/Location for 2023 Meetings:

May - Birender Madan : Please bring a chair if you can.

June - Meeting will be held at the MOA National Rally, Richmond, VA on Saturday, June 10, 2023.

September - Steve & Donna Clark at their home.

October - Open

November - Paul Rhodes Hosting, Location TBA

December - Haavi Morreim at her home.

5. The April RAMS Meeting will be held on April 15, 2023. Location is:

Village Creek State Park

201 County Road 754,

Wynne, AR 72396

We have campsites 10 & 11 reserved, and several RAMS have the adjacent campsites reserved. Camping is limited to 2 tents per site but check in before you reserve a site as we may have room on one of the already rented sites. Lunch will be provided but you will need to bring your chair and preferred beverage.

6. If you have an item you would like to see on the next meeting agenda, please get it to the Secretary by the Wednesday prior to the meeting and it will be added to the next meeting agenda. This is not required for an item to be discussed, but it will make sure it gets in the mix. Send the information to: officers@bmwrams.com

Petty Cash = $50.00

Expenses this month:
