Call to Order at 1:15pm by President Greg LieVan at Corky's BBQ , 5259 Poplar Ave, Memphis, TN.

There were 17 RAMS, and 1 motorcycle present for the Meeting.

We have no new members for this month.

We have 45 returning members for 2023.

We had one guest this month: Marshall

New Business

The topic of whether to get a shelter tent for the MOA National Rally in Richmond, VA was discussed and it was decided that the RAMS would rent a 20X20 ft. Shelter tent, two tables, and 12 chairs. The Secretary/Treasurer was directed to place the order with the MOA Chartered Clubs Camping Chair.

RAMS Activity Discussion

The Doo-Dah in April will be the season opener and we will plan from there.

The currently scheduled RAMS Events for 2023 are:

Tech Session at Rose-Anne & Spencer Bennett's Home, March 18, 2023.

Ride to Eat at Boyette's in Tiptonville, TN, April 1, 2023.

Doo-Dah Rally and Tax Revolt, April 14-15, 2023 at Village Creek State Park near Wynne, AR. Will be located on Campsites 10 & 11.

Wilderness Rally, May 12 - 14, 2023 on the Buffalo River, AR.

BMW MOA National Rally, June 8 - 10, Richmond, VA. Please note that this will be the June Meeting Location. Time will remain at 1 pm with eat what you bring lunch at 1200.

BMW Riders Association National Rally, September 14 - 17, 2023, Davis, WV>

RAMS Fall Campout, September/October, Pickwick, TN.

VP Corner

The VP, Paul Whitworth, will be leading a ride to the Tech Session/March Meeting on March 18, 2023. Watch email for details.

If anyone still does not have their picture in the online directory, please see Spencer or Rosey.

If you would like a RAMS Patch (old Logo only), decal (old and new Logos) or need RAMS business cards, please get with Spencer.

For the Good of the Club

Check RAMS Website for other Club’s Rally Schedules. Please follow up on each event’s web site as some may be rescheduled or cancelled.

2023 Dues are $25.00 and are due on January 1, 2023. They may be paid either by Cash or Check to the Secretary/Treasurer or via PayPal or Credit Card on the RAMS Website.

For the GS Guys, and others who may be interested: March Moto Madness will be taking place at Tellico Plains, TN. March 29 - April 2, 2023. This is a Premier Event with Primitive Camping on site and hotels nearby in Tellico Plains. See March Moto Madness web site for details.

The RAMS Tech Session planned for March 18, 2023 will be at the Bennett's Home in Hernando, MS. The address is : 1780 Green Village Drive, Hernando, MS 38632. Please use the rear driveway that goes directly to the Hangar if you are planning on doing maintenance. There will be a motorcycle parked near it as it is somewhat overgrown and difficult to see from the road. This will be an opportunity to get your bike ready for the coming season and tap into some of the expertise of assorted RAMS Members. There will be two lifts and the usual tools. Please bring your own fluids and parts you anticipate using along with any special tools your bike may require. This will be in conjunction with the March Meeting and Lunch will be provided as will soft drinks.

May - Birender Madan Please bring a chair if you can.

June - Meeting will be held at the MOA National Rally, Richmond, VA on Saturday, June 10, 2023.

August - My Favorite Place Mexican Restaurant, Manchester Family Hosting

September - Steve & Donna Clark at their home.

October - Open

November - Paul Rhodes Hosting, Location TBA

December - Haavi Morreim at her home.

5. The March RAMS Meeting will be held on March 18, 2023. Location is:

Spencer & Rose-Anne Bennett's Home in Hernando, MS. The address is :

1780 Green Village Drive

Hernando, MS 38632

Please use the rear driveway that goes directly to the Hangar if you are planning on doing maintenance. There will be a motorcycle parked near this driveway as it is somewhat overgrown and difficult to see from the road. This will be an opportunity to get your bike ready for the coming season and tap into some of the expertise of assorted RAMS Members. There will be two lifts and the usual tools. Please bring your own fluids and parts you anticipate using along with any special tools your bike may require.

Lunch will be provided as will soft drinks.

6. If you have an item you would like to see on the next meeting agenda, please get it to the Secretary by the Wednesday prior to the meeting and it will be added to the next meeting agenda. This is not required for an item to be discussed, but it will make sure it gets in the mix. Send the information to: officers@bmwrams.com
