VP Corner:
- The VP had brought some Ducati parts that he had gotten painted for Steve Clark and this led to a tale of his saddlebag coming open on the way to the meeting and the parts leaving in mid ride. Luckily, they were very well wrapped in several layers of bubble wrap and his companions noticed them dropping out, so a recue was conducted immedialtly with no damage to the newly painted parts. Hard to believe that a BMW Saddlebag could pop open like that, but I guess these things sometimes happen.
For the Good of the Club:

- 2025 Dues are $25.00 and were due on January 1, 2025. They may be paid either by Cash or Check to the Secretary/Treasurer or via PayPal or Credit Card om the RAMS Website.
- Meeting Hosts and Locations for 2025:
September - The Clark Family
October – RAMS at the Fall Campout at Paris Landing State Park.
November – Paul Rhodes at Drifter's Diner in Lavinia, TN.

4. If you have an item you would like to see on the next meeting agenda, please get it to the Secretary by the Wednesday prior to the meeting and it will be added to the next meeting agenda. This is not required for an item to be discussed, but it will make sure it gets in the mix. Send the information to: officers@bmwrams.co
5. George McQueen related a tale of a very thoughtful rescue on his way to the MOA National Rally. George had a flat on his RT near Jackson, TN and called the local Honda Dealer, Bob's Honda for assistance. They immedialtely loaded up a trailer and came to his rescue, took him and the bike to their shop, fixed the flat (failure of the valve stem) and got him back on the road, all at no cost to George. Great support for a touring motorcyclist from a dealer.
George also reported a less than great experience in buying tires at the Rally ($90.00 per wheel to mount them) as well as Schubertnot sticking to the agreed price on a new helmet he was trying to purchase from them. So I guess you could say, he won some and lost some this year.
