1. We have 1 new member for this month.

David Leligdonwho lives in Cordova, TN and rides a Honda CT 90. David recently moved here from St. Louis.

2. We have 55 new and returning members for 2024.

3.We had 1 guest this month:  I did not get his name but he is a friend of Herb Anderson's who rode down with him for the meeting.

VP Corner

Herb Anderson discussed a possible RAMS camp out for 2025 to be held at the Big Eagle Base Camp located in Paris Landing State Park. Big Eagle Base Group Campsite is an approximately 2.5-acre tent camping area situated on the shores of Kentucky Lake.  It features almost 700 feet of lake frontage and the majority of the camp area is grassy open space.

Nightly rates vary based on date and availability.

Applicable taxes and fees applied at checkout.  The $5 reservation fee per site is non-refundable.

Amenities include a bathhouse with showers, a picnic shelter, three fire-rings, a large charcoal grill, and a kayak/canoe launch.  Limited water and electricity are available on site.  This site will accommodate groups of up to 50 people or approximately 40 tents.

There is also a main camp ground that has RV sites and primitive sites as well as camping cabins.  We will continue to discuss this site as a possible 2025 site for the RAMS Campout.

 

Old Business.

1. Trailer has been emptied and the contents sold via a garage sale that was being held anyway.
2. Trailer has been sold to Paul Whitworth.
3. Paul Whitworth has shipped the coffee maker to the Four Winds Club of Pennsylvania very via truck line.
4. RAMS Sites have been reserved at Pickwick Below the Dam Campground.  We have sites 47, 48, 98,99,&100. Campout dates are October 4&5, 2024.  Coffee pot will be on site 48.
5. If anyone still does not have their picture in the online directory, please see Spencer or Rosey.
6. If you would like a RAMS Patch (old Logo only), decal (old and new Logos) or need RAMS business cards, please see Spencer.

 

For the Good of the Club

1. Check RAMS Website for other Club’s Rally Schedules. Please follow up on each event’s web site as some may be rescheduled or cancelled.
2. 2024 Dues are $25.00 and were due on January 1, 2024.  They may be paid either by Cash or Check to the Secretary/Treasurer or via PayPal or Credit Card on the RAMS Website.
3. The Porsche Club has invited the RAMS to participate in the Europen Automobile Show, September 21, 2024.  Event will be held at 7725 Poplar Pike from 10 am- 3 pm.  Please contact Steve Clark for details.
