September RAMS Meeting Minutes

September 10, 2022

Call to Order at 1:00 pm by Secretary/Treasurer Spencer Bennett at My Favorite Place Mexican Restaurant in Cordova, TN.

There were 17 RAMS, and 1 motorcycles present for the Meeting.

1. We have no new members for this month.
2. We have 64 new and returning members for 2022.
3. We had no guests this month:

New Business

1. No Donut Saturday as the Campout is on the last Saturday of September.
2. There have been some issues with the RAMS Mailing list and people being blocked or removed from the list.  Rosey did a presentation on the issue and what she is doing to resolve it.  It appears to be a situation between Dreamhost, our hosting service, and ATT email servers.  She believes she has a "work around" but asks that you send her or officers@bmwrams.com a note if you feel you are not getting emails from the list or if you are prevented from posting to the list.
3. Butch Turner has received a portion of Steve Hamilton's Ashes and made a motion that they be scattered on the banks of The Buffalo River at the 2023 Wilderness Rally, a location and a Rally that he truly loved, by the RAMS Members in attendance.  After a second by Crystal Manchester and a brief discussion, the motion carried unanimously.

 RAMS Campout Update

1. Secretary/Treasurer reported that everything still appears to be "on track" for the September 23-24 Campout at Pickwick.  Sites 97, 98, 98, and 100 are primitive sites located between the road and the river and Site 48 is across the road from them and will be the site of the coffee pot.

 

VP Corner

1. VP had no new information this month.

 

Old Business.

1. If anyone still does not have their picture in the online directory, please see Spencer or Rosey.
2. If you would like a RAMS Patch (old Logo only), decal (old and new Logos) or need RAMS business cards, please get with Spencer.

For the Good of the Club

1. Check RAMS Website for other Club’s Rally Schedules.  Please follow up on each event’s web site as some may be rescheduled or cancelled.
2. The RAMS have reserved a 20 X 20 Shelter, 3 tables, and 20 chairs for the RA National in Waynesville NC on September 28 - October 2, 2022.  Look for the RAMS Site in the Chartered Club Camping Area when you arrive.
3. 2023 Dues are $25.00 and are due on January 1, 2023. They may be paid either by Cash or Check to the Secretary/Treasurer or via PayPal or Credit Card on the RAMS Website.
4. We need Meeting host/Location for: October of 2022.
5. The October  RAMS Meeting will be held on  October 8, 2022  Location is: TBD
6. If you have an item you would like to see on the next meeting agenda, please get it to the Secretary by the Wednesday prior to the meeting and it will be added to the next meeting agenda. This is not required for an item to be discussed, but it will make sure it gets in the mix.  Send the information to: officers@bmwrams.com
