November RAMS Meeting Minutes

November 12, 2022

Call to Order at 1:00 pm by President Greg LieVan at Drifter's Diner in Lavinia, TN.

There were 20 RAMS, and 8 motorcycles present for the Meeting.

1. We have 2 new members for this month.

Eric & Melanie Gougar who live in Madison, AL and ride an K1200 LT.

1. We have 69 new and returning members for 2022.
2. We had no guests this month:
3. Thanks to Meeting Hosts: Paul Rhodes with Special Thanks for having the meeting inside rather than at the State Park, given the temperature.

New Business

1. The nomination of the 2023 RAMS Officer's was re- opened and no further nominations were made.  Current nominations are:

President: Greg LieVan (nominated by Spencer Bennett, seconded by Butch Turner)

Vice-President : Paul Whitworth (nominated by Marshall Robilio, seconded by Greg LieVan)

Secretary/Treasurer: Spencer Bennett (nominated by Butch Turner. seconded by Paul Whitworth)

There being no further nominations at this time, the nominations were closed until the December Meeting where additional nominations may be made, as well at the January Meeting.  The election of 2023 Officers will take place at the January 14, 2023 Meeting.

 RAMS Campout Update

1. The next RAMS Campout was discussed and it was decided that, in addition to the Doo-Dah Sidecar Rally, we would look into another Spring/early Summer event, possibly at Paris Landing or Land Between the Lakes State Parks.  Bryan Leonard and Rodger Moring are going to visit these lacations and report back on their accommodations for our group.
2. The Wilderness Rally will be held over Mother's Day Weekend (May 13-14, 2022) at Spring Creek Campground on the Buffalo River in Arkansas.  Paul Whitworth will get GPS and other  address information and it will be at the January Meeting.

 

VP Corner

1. VP had no new information this month.

 

Old Business.

1. If anyone still does not have their picture in the online directory, please see Spencer or Rosey.
2. If you would like a RAMS Patch (old Logo only), decal (old and new Logos) or need RAMS business cards, please get with Spencer.

For the Good of the Club

1. Check RAMS Website for other Club’s Rally Schedules.  Please follow up on each event’s web site as some may be rescheduled or cancelled.
2. 2023 Dues are $25.00 and are due on January 1, 2023. They may be paid either by Cash or Check to the Secretary/Treasurer or via PayPal or Credit Card on the RAMS Website.
3. There is a RAMS Tech Session planned for March, 2022 with The Clark Family Hosting.  This will be an opportunity to get your bike ready for the coming season and tap into some of the expertise of assorted RAMS Members.  Steve has a lift and the usual tools but asks that you bring your own fluids and parts you anticipate using along with any special tools your bike may require.  The exact date will be set as soon as the Clarks can get their schedule outlined for next year.

5. The December RAMS Meeting will be held on  December 10, 2022  Location is:

This is the annual RAMS Christmas Party and will begin at 6 pm.  RAMS Will furnish the entre and everyone brings a side dish or dessert.  Please contact Haavi to see what is needed.

There will be a Sneaky Santa Gift exchange with Gift cost limited to $25.00 so please bring something to exchange.  You must bring a gift to participate in the exchange.

6. If you have an item you would like to see on the next meeting agenda, please get it to the Secretary by the Wednesday prior to the meeting and it will be added to the next meeting agenda. This is not required for an item to be discussed, but it will make sure it gets in the mix.  Send the information to: officers@bmwrams.com
