Call to Order at 1:00 pm by RAMS President Greg LieVan at Campsite 13 of the TVA Below the Dam Campground at Pickwick Lake.

There were 19 RAMS and 15 motorcycles present for the Meeting.

We have no new members for this month.

We have 68 new and returning members for 2021.

No Guest introductions.

New Business

There was discussion of the revised RAMS logo to meet new BMW AG standards. The actual revision work was done by BMW RA to conform to the new standards and will be submitted by them to BMW AG if the RAMS approve. Motion to approve made by Paul Whitworth and seconded by Haavi Morriem. Vote to approve was unanimous. Secretary/Treasurer will let BMW RA know and ask for it to be submitted.

The question of when to resume indoor meetings was brought up by the President. There was significant discussion regarding “what makes indoors OK?” and it was decided that it was not yet time to move indoors as the vaccination level may not be sufficient. Fred Bradley pointed out that groups do not always do what you ask them to and scheduling a meeting at an outdoor restaurant venue may result in an indoor meeting whether you want it or not. Sam Whitworth suggested that we revisit this question at the August Meeting as that will give a little more time for vaccinations levels to increase.

Rally News

Updates on the RAMS Fall Campout.

There was discussion about the Campout scheduled for the first week of October as to where to make the main location. The President asked that RAMS present go by the State Park Campground and look it over and then we make a decision at the July Meeting.

The decision was made that the RAMS will rent spaces for the members to camp at either location and there will be coffee provided.

VP Jimmie Smith was not present due to work requirements.

If anyone still does not have their picture in the online directory, please see Spencer or Rosey.

If you would like a RAMS Patch (old Logo only), decal (old and new Logos) or need RAMS business cards, please get with Spencer.

For the Good of the Club

Check RAMS Website for other Club’s Rally Schedules. Please follow up on each event’s web site as some may be rescheduled or cancelled due to State or local Covid situations.

Need volunteers for Donuts at the Dealer. RAMS will reimburse you for costs. See Greg LieVan if interested.

The BMW MOA National Rally will be in Great Falls, MT on June 24-26, 3031. Several RAMS are going and are leaving the weekend before the rally. A shelter tent for the RAMS has ben reserved in the Chartered Club Camping area so be sure and take advantage of it. Look for the RAMS Sign.

2021 Dues were due on January 1, 2021 and may be paid either by Cash or Check to the Secretary/Treasurer or via PayPal or Credit Card on the RAMS Website.

A 20 X 20 Shelter Tent has been reserved for the BMW RA National in Waynesville, NC August 12-15, 2021. Cost for the tent will be in the $320 - $400 range and will be paid on site by a RAMS representative.

The Tennessee non-profit Corporate Report has been filed for 2021 with the Tennessee Secretary of State.

The July 2021 RAMS Meeting will be held on July 10, 2021:

Pavilion at Freeman-Smith Park

4620 North Brunswick Rd.

Arlington, TN 38002 (Part of Bartlett City Parks)

North of US 70/Summer Ave.

Turn north (left) when you pull into the park and the pavilion is close to the road. If you are in the playground, you turned the wrong way.

Lunch will be provided and will be served at 1200 with the meeting at 1 pm.

Your Hosts: Paul & Sam Whitworth.

There will likely be a ride to the meeting, so watch your e-mails.

If you have an item you would like to see on the next meeting agenda, please get it to the Secretary by the Wednesday prior to the meeting and it will be added to the next meeting agenda. This is not required for an item to be discussed, but it will make sure it gets in the mix. Send the information to: officers@bmwrams.com
